Gazelle Ventures is an economically-targeted initiative that combines the investment practice with good intentionality. We strive to positively impact the local economies in small towns and villages of India by helping create employment and advancement opportunities for the low-skilled and less-educated people in those areas. We achieve this by identifying, funding and supporting small, but growing companies (SGBs) – also called gazelles – in underserved geographies that, in their usual course of growing, create new and value-added jobs. We also require, and work with, our portfolio companies to institute employee friendly policies at workplace which, by enhancing employee satisfaction and lowering turnover, lead to improved staff productivity and bottom-line.
